Fobbing Churchyard
The churchyard overlooks Fobbing Marshes through which, in former times, creeks lead up to the harbour. The church tower was a handy feature for navigation and also provided a good look-out point to see who was approaching along the creek.

For the size of the present village there seems a disproportionate number of large houses like this one and Image Maybe an indication of the village's past as a centre of smuggling activity?
