Laindon railway station, Essex, 2012
Opened in 1888 by the London Tilbury & Southend Railway on their more direct route from London to Southend, the line was electrified by British Rail in 1961.

Laindon station
View westward, towards Upminster, Barking and London: ex-Midland (London, Tilbury & Southend section) Fenchurch Street - Barking - Upminster - Southend - Shoeburyness line, electrified 1961. (The Overhead seems here to be over only the two tracks on the right, but actually it does stretch over the line to the left, the track in the middle (Platform 2) being merely a reversing line.
