Pitsea War Memorial
This is the War Memorial that is in Howards Park. It was originally erected in 1928 by local businessman H G Howard at the junction of Station Lane and the High Road near Image Its approximate position was Image It was moved to the park when the area was redeveloped. The Memorial commemorates the men of Pitsea and Bowers Gifford who were killed in the First World War. The memorial is inscribed on all four sides. See the other three sides. Image Image Image
