The Cliffs Pavilion
The original Cliffs Pavilion opened in 1964 with a theatre seating 1,100. The capacity was subsequently expanded to the present level of 1,600 by the addition of a balcony in 1991. The evening before this picture was taken, the venue hosted a concert by the Sugababes.

Cliffs Pavilion "Sun Terrace"
The Cliffs Pavilion, Southend's premier entertainment centre. Many of the acts who perform here are world famous (and quite a few more I thought had died years ago!!).

Rossi's ice cream parlour
Rossi has been producing ice cream in Essex since 1932 when a factory and parlour were opened on the High Street. The business was founded by Massimiliano Agostino, known as ‘Gus’, with his wife Anna Rossi.
