House attached to St Mary's Church Sunderland
This house was built with St Mary's R C church in 1835, by the architect Ignatius Bonomi. Originally there was a similar one on the right hand side, but this is now gone. It stands on Bridge Street.

Elephants decorating the Royal Bank of Scotland
Architectural feature from the 19th century, reflecting the Indian influence on British architecture. I wonder how many people in Sunderland have looked up at these pachydermal additions. This building was once the premises of the Elephant Tearooms.
