October 21st 1914 to March 6th 1919, during the Great War, these
buildings were mobilised as Station Road Auxiliary Hospital.
792 Army sick & wounded were cared for by local doctors,
nurses and ambulance drivers.

Viewed across High Street. The name remains, but all that can be seen inside Greens Health Store are a few yellow traffic cones. The middle car is parked directly in front of the door shortly after midday on a December Saturday, 12 days before Christmas Day 2014.

Viewed across Buckingham Road. I was a day too late for the evening Pig Racing announced on their entertainment board. Minimal research has shown that this is likely to refer to an electronic device on which several small models of pigs progress falteringly along a custom-made table to the finish line.
