Shaftesbury: postbox № SP7 82, Grosvenor Road
A postbox standing next to a dog-waste bin on the grass between the A350 Grosvenor Road and its service road (Windmill Close is off up to the right).
It is important that these two red receptacles are not confused – it could have disastrous consequences either for your own letters or for other people's, depending on which you are supposed to be using.
The postbox is emptied finally at 5:45pm on weekdays and at 11:45am on weekdays.

Shaftesbury: pre-Worboys sign on the A350
A route confirmatory sign on the way out of town, north on the A350, dating back to before the standardised signage which is so familiar today. I believe Littledown must be the name of a row of houses on this road; the side turning is called Homefield.

Shaftesbury: arriving foggily at Ivy Cross
It is a few minutes before 2am on a foggy night and we reach the Ivy Cross roundabout, with the service station thankfully open to quench the thirst of both the car and its driver.

Shaftesbury: postbox № SP7 110, Longmead
This large Edwaed VII-reign postbox stands, clearly not in its original location, outside the Royal Mail Delivery Office. It is emptied finally at 6pm on weekdays and at 12:30pm on Saturdays.
