Bollards on Allen Water Drive
The wondrous ways of local authorities. These three stout, oak posts are mounted in costly below-ground sockets and each provided with its own padlock. They are evidently intended to prevent vehicular access to the bridleway in the foreground, and would doubtless perform this task well for very nervous granny drivers but somehow I don't think the average teenager would be much deterred.

This small river runs south to find the river Avon in Fordingbridge town. This view looking north shows recreational open space with children's play area in the distance. View point is the road bridge running into the housing of Parsonage Park.

Marl Lane pillbox type FW3/22: DoB ID: S0012673
A pillbox in very good condition that once overlooked open ground to the west, and the track of the now disused railway. It's a concrete faced type 22 constructed using horizontal wooden planking, and having an embrasure in each wall including a slanted rifle port by the entrance doorway.
