A George V-reign 'Ludlow' postbox, named after its designer and intended specifically for sub-post offices, is set into the wall of Image It is emptied finally at 4:30pm on weekdays and at 11:15am on Saturdays.

Sandleheath: postbox № SP6 446, Old Brickyard Road
An example of the relatively common 'Type K' postbox, introduced in 1980. It serves a few houses in Old Brickyard Road but principally the Sandleheath Industrial Estate, which that road becomes.

Lollipop lady: Sandleheath Scarecrow Competition, 2012 (1)
This slightly dejected-looking lollipop lady is a competitor (it seems unkind to say 'entry') in the village's scarecrow competition. I noticed a number of odd characters 'on duty' around the village. The first was a burly figure busy mowing a roadside verge - quite disturbing, because he'd lost his head.
