Great Yews wood, nr Homington
There are indeed many ancient yews in this wood but the prevalence of neglected chestnut coppice makes the wood somewhat impassable. It is private anyway.

Byway skirting Great Yews wood
The byway is heavily used by offroaders and here shows the results in terms of quite deep ruts. The green patch on the way is actually a reflection in a puddle. (my focus wasn't brilliant on this shot)
