Charlton All Saints: lychgate
The lychgate of the Image, in the very northeast corner of the churchyard, comes out on the sharp bend in the road and also serves as a war memorial for the village, the names written on the panel facing us.

This information from Wiltshire Community History here http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/community/getchurch.php?id=684 "It was not until 1851 that the Church of All Saints was built, partly at the expense of Horatio, Lord Nelson, to serve the tithings of Charlton and Witherington. It is in the Early English style, in red and purple brick, and was designed by T.H. Wyatt. There is a chancel, a nave with a north transept that was added in 1891, and a south porch."
