This information from Wiltshire Community History here http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/community/getchurch.php?id=684 "It was not until 1851 that the Church of All Saints was built, partly at the expense of Horatio, Lord Nelson, to serve the tithings of Charlton and Witherington. It is in the Early English style, in red and purple brick, and was designed by T.H. Wyatt. There is a chancel, a nave with a north transept that was added in 1891, and a south porch."
