A345 Salisbury Road
Heading north with a 50 mph limit. The derestricted turn to the left is in fact an unsurfaced byway, where it would be a remarkable and probably dangerous feat to exceed 50 anyway.

Fittleton church from the north-east, on a May evening
By mid-May the sun sets well to the north of west - so the light of the setting sun catches the clerestory on the north-facing side of the church.

Fittleton church: the tower, on a May evening
Seen from the north-east. It's a shame I can't add a soundtrack - it would have to include the call of a cuckoo, close by and very loud.

Fittleton church from the entrance to Fittleton Manor
Taken at about sunset on a May evening. The red-brick buildings in the foreground are manor out-buildings. The thatched block on the right was originally a medieval tithe barn http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4954804 which I suspect was converted for use as stables in Georgian times: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4957908
