Wyndham House, Salisbury
The product of many building phases, the final one of which was early C18th. All the windows have Gibbs surrounds and the parapet is lined with ball finials. Grade II* listed.
Later known as College House, now Council House, offices for Wiltshire Council.

Offices in the college
The current occupiers of this fine building are Salisbury registration offices and some of Wiltshire County council's departments. This is in fact the site of St Edmund's college.

Salisbury Arts Centre (formerly St Edmunds church)
The church dates from the 15th century nave with a 17th century tower. Restored by Sir G.G. Scott in 1865-7, including the rebuilding of the chancel and addition of north and south chancel chapels, it was converted to an Arts Centre in 2005. The building is listed grade 2* (list entry 1355852).

St Edmund's, Salisbury
One of Salisbury's original churches, it has had a varied past. Bishop Walter de la Wyle founded St Edmund college in 1269 and shortly after had the church built alongside. Nothing of those originals remain, as parts of this building date from the fifteenth century only. In 1653 the central tower collapsed, demolishing the 13th century nave. Despite the turmoil of the aftermath of the Civil War, a new tower was built with a new west wall and the building became much as we see it today.
It's later history is one of a slow decline and increasing disrepair, finally culminating in its closure in 1974. However, within a few years it became the Salisbury Arts Centre. See Image] for a hint of its new use.
