Happy days at the White Hart, Penton Mewsey
This 18th Century pub doesn't seem so old any more when I think that this was my local some 40 years ago; that's almost half a century. In those days we flew from a grass airfield at RAF Andover (long since covered in concrete) and the pub was run by Roy Stride and his wife, Frances. I seem to remember that the landlord, Roy was a County cricketer. Oh what fun was to be had then in the White Hart! Happy days indeed.
