Telephone Exchange and Bus Stop, Hurstbourne Tarrant
Situated on the A343 The Dene, this TE has the code STHRSTT. It provides telephone and broadband services to 355 residential and 29 non-residential premises in Hurstbourne Tarrant plus Ibthorpe and Upton nearby. The red telephone box in front of it would indicate that the TE dates from the GPO era, ie before 1969, although the dark building behind it was probably added more recently. The bus stop in front of the TE shows the timetable for Stagecoach route 7 between Newbury and Andover. The TE has (01264) 736xxx numbers, the (01264) referring to the Andover group of sixteen TEs, and its postcode is SP11 0AG.
