Andover - Winton School
This part of Winton School was the former Andover Girls School and it used to have a twin boys school on the opposite side of the road, the school became mixed and a footbridge was built to enabled the pupils to cross the road safely. The "boys school" was destroyed in an arson attack and the site was later redeveloped for housing and became Winton Chase.

Andover - The Queen Charlotte Public House
There are records that prize fighting took place at this pub and that one fight in 1832, an Owen Smith so badly beat Anthony Noon, that Noon died the same evening. Smith was tried for murder in Winchester, but he died his face black with walnut juice he could not be identified by anyone and so escaped punishment.
