This postbox may appear quite old because of its position but it is not; the wording ROYAL MAIL rather than POST OFFICE above the slot denotes that it is post 1994.
The advertised final collections are 4pm on weekdays and 7an on Saturdays, although it is a Saturday lunchtime and today's collection has not happened yet.
