Romsey Town Neighbourhood

Romsey Town beat is a market town that consists of shops, banks, hotels, restaurants and pubs and the residential wards of Cupernham, Halterworth, Woodley and Whitenap make up the surrounding beat area.
Romsey was home to the late Lord Mountbatten and lies on the River Test.

The beat is covered by the Romsey Neighbourhood Policing team, assisted by special constables who are passionate about reducing crime and ASB, protecting vulnerable people and targeting those who commit crime. You can influence local priorities by attending a beat surgery or public meeting, by email or calling 101.

5 Jul 2023

You said there are Youths causing a nuisance in the town centre and through to the memorial park and Salmon Leap on the Test River

Response (5 Jul 2023)

We did more patrol and put together an operation (OP BOIL) to tackle this issue involving local officers and specialist units. We have dispersed many youths and on 01/06/23 seized 3 e-scooters for destruction interviewing one youth out of the group who received a Community Resolution. We are also in the process of prosecuting several youths in Baddesley for damage and harassment caused to several residents in that area.
