Sign for the White Horse
This sign has been in use since the 15th century and remains very frequent because of its widespread heraldic usage. It was adopted by the kings of Wessex and is the traditional emblem of Kent.

At the entrance to the Ampfield Golf and Country Club, "the Hampshire home of 18 hole Par 3 Golf". Just south of the A3090 Winchester to Romsey Road.

A3090 through Ampfield
For some reason the OS map marks this road as the A36 near this point. This is incorrect. It never has been the A36 which runs from Southampton to Salisbury in this area
