There are a small amount of local shops and some industrial estates, across the beat there is a lot of farmland and agricultural businesses. The crime rate in all areas is comparatively low throughout and the main policing issues for the community are speeding through villages, thefts from farms and outbuildings and dwelling burglaries. The closest town to these villages is Romsey and the nearest cities are Southampton and Salisbury.
