The visitor centre and tourist information is in the old gun, cutlery and sports shop. The centre is next to the Abbey Hotel. The Tudor cottage and roof of King John's house can be seen behind the tiresomely situated wheelie bin.

King John's House
King John's House sits in a narrow site leading off Church street and the side elevation is best seen through the Post Office car park. The house is the oldest building in Romsey, with a mediaeval hall believed to date from the middle of the thirteenth century. The Tudor cottage on the right was added in the late Tudor or early Jacobean period. The only connection with King John is that it was at one time thought to be his hunting lodge. http://www.romseynet.org.uk/kjh.htm

The Face of Romsey 2009
Located in a covered walkway, in the tearoom section of King John's House (museum). I have been unable to confirm the origins of this varied, and interesting, collection, but would speculate that the individual clay artworks were produced by the after school pottery party. More tiles, at the bottom of the display, were sadly omitted from the photograph; I was leaning into a large bush, in order to include as much as possible with a wide angle lens. http://www.romseyheritage.org.uk/index.htm
