Eastleigh Town Clock
This clock was donated to the town by the Lions Club of Eastleigh as part of the celebrations for the millennium. It displays the name of the club on its face, and the Lions International motto on its base. It is located on Market Street, at the eastern end of Eastleigh Market.

A modest clock tower on the corner of Market Street keeps reasonably good time (although the two faces pictured are about 2 minutes different) as we look along the pedestrianised section of Leigh Road - see Image

Woolworths, Leigh Road, Eastleigh
Woolworths went into administration today, the banks having pulled the plug on a plan to sell the shops to the restructuring specialist Hilco for £1, in return for Hilco taking on £260m of Woolworths' £385m debt.
