Scram!
The ponies were making themselves at home in the driveway beside East Boldre Post Office. They were told to move on, which they did reluctantly and sullenly!

East Boldre: the post office
The village store and post office, like the whole of the village, stands on the eastern side of the main road - opposite is just the typical New Forest open plain (apart from a phone box and bus shelter). See Image for a picture of the postbox, which is hidden behind the car and anyway faces away from us.

East Boldre Post Office and Stores, New Forest
This is the present Post Office in East Boldre. I've seen a photograph of a bi-plane lodged in the roof of one of the previous Post Offices in the village. Prior to the First World War there was a flying school airfield on Bagshot Moor in front of the village (which is strung out along the road along the edge of Bagshot Moor). There were often 'near misses' where low-flying planes took tiles off the roofs, and this one instance of a crash.

They love their animals around here...
… they even provide them with bus shelters! A New Forest pony stallion has taken possession of that at East Boldre.
