Unmistakably Southampton!
The clock tower of Southampton Civic Centre rises above the town. Constructed in the early 1930s the tower and associated civic buildings are of a classical style and faced with Portland stone. Grade II listed. Every four hours, the clock chimes Watts' 'O God, Our Help in Ages Past'. Isaac Watts was a native of Southampton.

Southampton Civic Centre
Built in the early 1930s to house the Borough Council, the complex is now a mixture of performing venues, museums and City Council offices. The guildhall itself is at the centre of the complex, behind the west and south wings shown here. This is the view from the southwest, across Havelock Road.
