Highfield, Crown Inn
Suburban pub on Highcrown Street, off Highfield Lane. Internally, L-shaped bar with eating and drinking areas on three sides, TV, garden, open fire, ornaments suspended from ceiling beams. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Fuller's London Pride, Gale HSB, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Ringwood Best. Boarded up shops
Some closed down businesses. There are some open shops across the road. My guess is that this building won't last long before being knocked down and rebuilt as flats.
