Bassett Lawn Tennis Club, Wilton Road
This is the south-west side of Bassett Lawn Tennis Club, on Wilton Road. It is quite a long way from Bassett, perhaps it slipped down the hill? The club was founded in 1924 (as the sign above the green door says) and it is a member of the Hampshire Lawn Tennis Association.

At this crossroads junction Wilton Road is the major road (straight ahead) and Upper Shirley Avenue the minor road to the right with Pirrie Close to the left. The part of Pirrie Close to the left has no houses on it before it reaches the circular road.
