Tudor Merchant's Hall
The hall to the left was erected elsewhere in the early 15th century, and was sold to Alderman Edward Exton in 1634, who re-erected it at this location adjacent to Westgate, seen to the right. This is a paraphrase of the information given on the plaque seen on the building.

Tudor Merchant's Hall
The hall is seen in its second location, just inside the city walls at Westgate. Subsequently other buildings have been built over the years to give a very mixed architectural miscellany in the area.

House on Bugle Street, Southampton
A grade II*(star) listed building, mid 18th century. Currently in business use, it seems to have been a Roman Catholic convent for a while, which would account for the anonymous chapel-like building to the right.
