Approaching Mill Bridge
Class 47, 47119, approaches Mill Bridge on the outskirts of Great Bedwyn with The Torbay Limited - a special from Paddington to Kingswear. The train is made up of ex-Great Western Railway carriages belonging to the Great Western Society at Didcot. On the left in the trees is the River Dun which crosses under the railway at this point and then flows alongside it on the right towards Bedwyn Station. On the right of the photo is the Kennet & Avon Canal. Perversly, the canal appears to be higher than the railway in the distance but I suspect that is an optical illusion.

Reading to Westbury railway line
The line heads towards Great Bedwyn in this picture and from that village comes Church Street. At its junction with Crofton Road is the railway bridge which affords this picture.

Great Bedwyn moorings
Looking towards the East on the Kennet and Avon on the Western outskirts of the Wiltshire village of Great Bedwyn.
The boats on the left are on British Waterways moorings and mostly unoccupied being used for weekends and holidays, the ones on the right are all lived on and cruise around staying in one place no more than the statutory 14 days.
I took the picture while standing under Mill Bridge No 97.
