Sparcells from Shaw Forest Park, Swindon
The 1980s housing estate lies in two grid-squares, this one and SU1186 to the left or west. The viewpoint is just inside the subject square looking very slightly west of north. Thus the right-hand part of the image showing the houses is in SU1286 as is most of the foreground.

Hongxin Oriental Buffet (formerly Pagoda Palace) Chinese Restaurant, Peatmoor, West Swindon
An after-dark look at this impressive building. It was purpose-built nearly 20 years ago as a Chinese restaurant. Update 28 September 2010: After a prolonged period when the restaurant was closed and deserted it has re-opened as the Hongxin Oriental Buffet. The new owners have existing restaurants in Torquay and Exeter.
