Fields recently mown probably for silage.
Housing to the west of Devizes is at the top of the hill.
This is the north eastern edge of the lowland plain extending from the Salisbury Plain escarpment to the south west.

Muddy storage area
The footpath from Avon Road to Whistley road runs along a track that passes through a storage area attached to Lower Park Farm. The way was somewhat muddy.
