2012 : Urban creep on the edge of Devizes
Very recent urban creep and quite pleasant but still urban creep. So recent it does not yet figure on Where's the Path. You take the first turning past the police station on the A361 north of Devizes.

More houses to be built?
Planning permission has been granted for a care home to be built on this open space near Quakers Walk. However, the leaflet attached to the fence in the image is advising residents to come to a meeting to discuss building 125 houses on the site. The tower of the church of St Mary is seen in the distance.

Quakers Walk looking towards Devizes
Quakers Walk is a footpath from Devizes to Roundway Village. Possibly medieval, the path is over three quarters of a mile long. There is an interesting article on the walk at http://www.devizesheritage.org.uk/quakers_walk.html

2012 : New housing on the edge of Devizes
West of Brickham Bridge. I hesitate to call this an estate, though it obviously is, the mix of styles has been skillfully handled so some but not too many have a similar appearance.

Newlands Wood
Seen from the same point as Image is Newlands Wood. Given the pace of housing development in Devizes, one wonders how long it will be before this view is of houses.
