Devizes Quaker Meeting
On the north bank of the Kennet & Avon Canal. Non-boat access is from the main road west out of Devizes. The yellow sign welcomes everyone to services every Sunday at 10.30am.

Quaker Meeting House, Devizes
Built on the former Sussex Wharf, a small wharf on the Kennet and Avon Canal for one boat alongside. It is well disguised with vegetation now.

A glimpse of Melbourne House, Devizes
This grade II listed building from about 1840 is set back behind the houses along the street. The listing describes the feature on the roof as a stair light, but it seems more than that.

Frozen Kennet and Avon
Just west of Northgate Street Bridge No 141 that carries the A342 over the canal just to the West of Devizes town centre. Looking towards Devizes Top Lock No 50 which is the first Lock of the Caen Hill flight of 29 locks.
Very cold day with the canal frozen over.

Kennet and Avon canal, from Northgate Street bridge, Devizes
Facing west south west. The viewpoint is just to the east of the well-known 2° west meridian (the only line of longitude to coincide exactly with an OS gridline in the UK). The majority of the canal seen in this image lies west of the gridline.
