2009 : The Bell, London Road, Devizes
The A361 passes the door.
In the public park opposite is The Crammer, a pond or small lake where the moonrakers were said to have been trying to retrieve the reflection of the full moon, thinking it to be a cheese. The local version of the story claims it was a cask of brandy they were hiding from the customs men. Believe what you will.
