New Park Street, Devizes
Many buildings on this, the A361, are listed. Market Place, Devizes (3)
A sequence of buildings at the north-west corner of the Market Place, all of which are listed except for the modern building next to the pub which is a tactful bit of infill.
The first is Parnella House, with an ashlar front, canted bays and a Tuscan screen. In the central niche is a statue of Aesculapius, the Greek God of medicine, which suggests the house was built for a doctor. Dated c1740-50. Grade II* listed.

Construction site, Market Place, Devizes, Wiltshire
I'm not sure if this is new-build or refurbishment. The crane is installing some substantial steel roof members. The work necessitated some adjustments using a rather heavy hammer to judge from the noise.
