Crossroads sign Belmont Hill
Not long before I took this the original pre-Worboys design was replaced by this modern copy, although the font is not pre-Worboys but Transport font which replaced it. The triangle is still the one which was there before.

Belmont railway station, Greater London
Opened in 1865 by the London Brighton & South Coast Railway on the line from Sutton to Epsom Downs. Between 1865 and 1875 the station was called California.
View north towards Sutton and London. Until 1982 there were two tracks and two platforms. The remains of the former northbound platform can be seen on the left.
