There was also a Belmont station in Harrow until the 1950s, both are now in London but then this was in Surrey and the other in Middlesex.

Belmont station, Surrey
Class 455 unit No 455 811 arrives at Belmont with the 12.14 to Epsom Downs. This branch, which was opened in 1865 to provide access to Epsom Racecourse, used to be a double track railway but was singled in the late 1980s and now sees only one train per hour. As there are no passing loops, the service cannot be improved and there are no longer any race specials this way. At Belmont, the main access used to be on the down side but this has now gone, and passengers must walk over the road bridge to get onto the sole platform.

Belmont station
The station was opened by the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway on 22nd May 1865 as part of the line to Epsom Downs. The station was originally named 'California', and was only changed to 'Belmont' in 1875. The branch was originally laid as double track because of the race traffic, and was electrified on 17th June 1928. The branch was singled in 1982 and all trains use the former down platform seen here. This view looks towards Sutton.

Opened in 1865 by the London Brighton & South Coast Railway on the line from Sutton to Epsom Downs. Between 1865 and 1875 the station was called California. View north towards Sutton and London. Until 1982 there were two tracks and two platforms. The remains of the former northbound platform can be seen on the left.

Belmont station, exterior, Down side
Apart from the British Rail sign on the pole, you would not expect to find a station down the road opposite. There's a car lot on the left, and on the right is a clinic and some private houses. But down at the end, if you persevere, you will find the 'station' - a comfortless single platform with a ticket machine and a bus shelter. But - it does still have trains, one an hour each way!
