The 'Cock and Bull', Sutton
This Fuller's pub does not quite occupy the site of the historic Cock Inn at Sutton, (demolished 1961) which was a few yards further north.

Watermead House, Sutton
Sutton has a cluster of tall-ish office blocks in this area, most of which seem to have been designed by Robert J. Wood and Partners, and most of which currently appear to be empty and/or awaiting redevelopment. This block, on Sutton Court Road, dates from 1975, and is faced with unbonded white tiles.

Vigilant House and Quadrant House, Sutton
Sutton has a cluster of tall-ish office blocks in this area, most of which seem to have been designed by Robert J. Wood and Partners, and most of which currently appear to be empty and/or awaiting redevelopment. Vigilant, in the foreground on Sutton Court Road, dates from 1961-66, and with its seventeen storeys of curtain-walling is very much of its time. To the right is the pink granite Quadrant House, of 1979-80, by Brewer, Smith and Brewer. It is occupied so neither of the above statements apply.

Grove Road, Sutton
Much of the traffic passing through Sutton does so on a rather depressing east-west race-track of a one-way system, across which the pedestrianized north-south High Street cuts rather unobserved by the passing drivers.
