Grass on the platform
Not many operational stations have grass growing on the platforms, but this bit of 'lawn' on the very wide island platform at West Sutton station does.
The station is on the Thameslink loop line through Sutton; this train was still in 'South Central' livery some time after the route was taken over by the operator Thameslink.

West Sutton Station
This curvaceous line between Wimbledon and Sutton was opened in 1930 to serve the suburban development the area was experiencing at that time. Today the service is part of the Thameslink network with trains looping through Sutton and heading via central London and out to St Albans.
