Outside Sutton Station
Sutton Station was opened on 10th May 1847 by the London Brighton and South Coast Railway.....back in the days when taxis were black....

Sutton Station
The entrance on the Brighton Road, with some patterns in the pavers. Could that be some problem with the ticket machine? Plans are afoot to redevelop the station as a public transport interchange involving a tram terminus.

Next door to Sutton Station. Presumably once a bank, and now a pub, it's an odd looking building, like they sort of gave up on the top half when they got to the corner.

Sutton Station, Epsom Downs platforms
View westward on Platform 3, towards Epsom Downs: ex-LB&SCR Victoria/London Bridge - Epsom, Leatherhead, Dorking, Horsham and the Mid-Sussex line to the South Coast, also to Epsom Downs. Just visible on the right is the main line to Epsom etc. and out of sight off to the right the 1930 SR line to Wimbledon, now operated by Thameslink, turns off.
