Old Milestone by the A40 in Denham
Carved stone post by the A40, in parish of Denham (South Bucks District), Oxford Road; Tatling End, outside Capswood office block, opposite Ugly Duck PH, on lawn to left of entrance to office blocks, on North side of road. Beaconsfield diamond pillar, erected by the Red Hill & Beaconsfield turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : 18 / MILES from / LONDON / - : : Uxbridge / 3 : : London / 18 / - / Oxford / 36 / Beaconsfield / 5 : Grade II listed.
