Houses on the edge of Marlow
Shakespeare's Way follows this footpath as it drops down gently to Marlow. This is the current limit of housing to the west. At present they have nice views up the valley of farmland behind me.

Brick and flint at Marlow
Having come off the chalk of the Chiltern Hills, it was great to see one of the first houses in Marlow built of traditional brick and flint construction, so typical of the chalk landscape. We were walking Shakespeare's Way.

Houses at Pound Lane
The western end of Pound Lane has a development on 1980s houses, with some space and greenery around. Shakespeare's Way makes a reasonably pleasant entrance to Marlow.
