View across a valley, east of Bockmer End, in November
The wooded hillside is Pullingshill Wood. The wood is chiefly of beech - which accounts for the russet colours. Some of the nearer trees, still green, are oaks. Walking through Pullongshill Wood earlier, I noticed there were also young (and coppiced) sweet chestnuts - but most of those had already lost their leaves.

Downhill towards Bockmer End
This single-track road drops down through beechwoods into a small valley before climbing to Bockmer End. The uphill stretch is hemmed in between raised banks - with little room for one vehicle to pass another.

Horse and mist, Bockmer End
A bank of fog sitting in the steep little valley east of Bockmer End. Much of the non-woodland around here is devoted to horses.
