The fifteenth century manor of Sir John Norreys is one of the most historic buildings in Berkshire. Unfortunately you can't get much closer than this view from the bridleway to the west. This http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=41080&mode=quick gives details of the building and this http://www.berkshirehistory.com/castles/ockwells_manor.html has more of its history.
