Dorney: The Pineapple
So-named because the first pineapple to be grown in Britain was reputedly cultivated at nearby Dorney Court, The Pineapple is actually in the hamlet of Lake End, which is quite separate from Dorney village. The historic separation of the two is now greatly emphasised by the Jubilee River having been constructed through the land between them.
