Looking towards the new Castle View retirement complex site. Here's what it's going to look like. http://castleviewwindsor.co.uk/about-castle-view The road is the main one in Windsor crossing over the river since the one in the centre was closed to traffic, heading to Amersham via Slough. The other being the Albert Bridge to Datchet to the east.

Roundabout on the A308, Windsor
There is no sign on the A308 saying turn left for Maidenhead, which takes you to this roundabout, otherwise if you stay on the existing road you get to Slough, which few people want to do from there unless they have to. It was only my innate sense of direction which told me to leave the road before the bridge you can just see on the right which crosses the River Thames into what used to be called Buckinghamshire.
