Thames Valley Police - Windsor West Neighbourhood

Anti-social behaviour has been reported in the area of Hanover Way. Anti-social drinking has been reported to have occurred in Keeler Close play park, Windsor.

The neighbourhood team have actioned two closure orders at addresses to deter anti-social behaviour, including drug use, threatening behaviour and criminal activity at those addresses. These orders have been granted by the Magistrates Court to prevent offenders from using these addresses to commit crime and cause alarm within the community. Officers are enforcing these orders to deter drug dealing.

Officers are completing high visibility deterrence patrols in Keeler Close play park following reports of anti-social drinking. A community protection warning has been issued to an individual as a result of anti-social behaviour.

We are focusing on community hotspots and using intelligence-led policing with an aim to reduce crime and improve the neighbourhood. We are collaborating with partner agencies including Abri housing in Hanover Way, to enforce tenancy breaches.

Officers attended an address in Hanover Way in November 2025, subject to a closure order, and have identified one male inside the property breaching the order. The male was arrested and remanded to court.

E-Scooters & E-Bikes are being used on Park Corner, Dedworth Road & Clewer Court Road in Windsor.

During the recent community priority survey has identified that the use of E-Scooters & E-Bikes are a priority concern in the community in Windsor.

Officers will complete two operations each month to solely focus on this offending.

The use of E-Bikes and E-Scooters on public roads link closely to criminal behaviour, including drug dealing and evading the police. Enforcement of this legislation will reduce the amount of crime committed while riding E-Scooters & E-Bikes.

The survey has highlighted Park Corner, Dedworth Road to Clarence Road and Clewer Court Road to be problem specific areas for E-Scooters & E-Bikes. The team will focus on these locations through high visibility patrols, stop and accounts and penalty notices. All E-Scooters & Bikes are to be seized under new legislation if ridden on a public road/path.

In November 2025, officers from the neighbourhood team have seized two electric bikes on Longmead from two youths. These bikes have been seized for being driven without insurance.

Theft from motor vehicle incidents have been reported in the Broom Farm Estate, York Road & St Johns Road, Windsor.

The Neighbourhood team have increased high visibility patrols to Broom Farm Estate in order to deter theft from motor vehicle offences. This will include attendance to the neighbourhood watch scheme in the estate, enhanced high visibility patrols and consistent engagement with residents. Officers will be able to provide residents with up to date statistics and results, as well as safety advice that can be used to deter this type of offending.

We are working alongside other departments, including the priority crime team, to identify any trends in specific areas and will be able to focus on problem locations.

Officers in the team will be conducting regular covert patrols in St Johns Road, Broom Farm Estate and York Road as per the results of the most recent neighbourhood crime survey.

Officers have been attending Broom Farm completing overt and covert patrols to deter offending behaviour and keep the community safe throughout October to December 2025.

08/04/26: A male responsible for environmental anti-social behaviour affecting the local community has been served with a Community Protection Notice (CPN). The notice requires him to clear and tidy areas where refuse has been accumulated.

28/04/2026 - Regular patrols have been completed around the location over the last month. Officers have also circulated crime prevention letters in the location to provide support to residents in the meantime.

We will actively target drug supply activity within the Longmead area of Windsor, utilising intelligence‑led enforcement to disrupt dealing, safeguard vulnerable individuals, and bring offenders to justice.

28/04/2026 - Officers have been completing regular patrols around the locality in order to deter any criminal activity and disrupt any drug supply over the last month. This involves high visibility patrols and engagement with suspicious persons.

08/04/26: A male responsible for environmental anti-social behaviour affecting the local community has been served with a Community Protection Notice (CPN). The notice requires him to clear and tidy areas where refuse has been accumulated. A closure order has been issued on a property in relation to drugs. This will be valid until August.

Burglary Offences.

Residents reported a number of burglary-related concerns, with several accounts of home break-ins, attempted burglaries and thefts from sheds, garages and vehicles, particularly in the SL4 4QF area, York Road, Oakley Green and Roses Lane. Some respondents had experienced repeat offences, including multiple burglaries within a short period, while others reported incidents affecting neighbours. A recurring theme was frustration with the perceived lack of police response, investigations and convictions. Several respondents reported no incidents but expressed concern about burglary in their local area.

The neighbourhood department have been tasked with regular hotspot patrols which entail officers patrolling specific high demand areas of most concern between set dates and times. This activities are recorded and monitored to ensure we are using our time efficiently.

The neighbourhood team will deliver safety advice and burglary packages if areas are targeted and work alongside the priority crime team to help deter and apprehend offenders.

Drug Supply.

Residents reported concerns about drug-related activity and cannabis use across a number of locations in Windsor. Frequent cannabis use was reported in parks, public pathways and residential areas, including Victoria Park, Stuart Way, Gilman Crescent, Vansittart Park, Roses Lane, Kingsfield/Galleys Road, Rydings, Wolf Lane and the town centre. Several respondents also raised concerns about suspected drug dealing, particularly in Hanover Way, Dedworth, Ruddlesway and Addington Close, with some describing activity as taking place openly and on a regular basis. Respondents highlighted the impact on the community, particularly where children and families use the same public spaces.

Officers have issued a closure order on a property suspected to be involved in drug supply. This allows officers to enter the premise when they suspect someone is inside that should not be. Officers have issued multiple out of court disposals for drug possession whereby offenders are issued with fines and have to complete drug diversion courses.

Regular patrols in hotspot areas are completed to identify and deter drug supply or use. Please submit any concerns via 101 to ensure the team are aware of the hotspot locations.

Anti‑Social Behaviour.

The resident priority survey has identified ant-social behaviour is one of the top three concerns within Windsor West community.

Residents reported concerns about anti-social behaviour across Windsor and nearby areas, including late-night noise from modified cars and motorbikes, suspected drug use and dealing, speeding vehicles, and disorderly behaviour by groups of young people. Specific issues included underage vaping, harassment in the town centre, electric bikes being ridden by individuals wearing balaclavas, and disturbances linked to pub-goers and visitors. Other concerns included an unauthorised traveller site, litter and disorder at the Brocas, and a perceived lack of police visibility. Several respondents reported no concerns or had not directly witnessed anti-social behaviour.

The neighbourhood department work alongside a patrol plan to complete regular high visibility patrols in areas highlighted by residents.

Officers will provide updates over the next three months of any positive interventions made in relation to the above reports.
