George V Memorial - Windsor
The Memorial to King George V, at the junction of Thames Street and Datchet Road, was funded by public subscription and is from a design by Sir Edwin Lutyens, R.A.. It was built on the site of the Noakes & Co. Ltd brewery and was unveiled by King George VI on 23rd April I937. It is believed that this was the occasion of his first public speech since his accession to the throne.

Grade II* listed Old Bank House, Windsor
The 3-storey building in Thames Street dates from c1800. Grade II* listed in 1950. The building is now part of St George's School Windsor Castle.

Windsor Martyrs' plaque
Beyond this site the following were martyred for their faith Henry Filmer, Anthony Pierson, Robert Testwood Burnt at the stake 28th July 1543 This was in the era of the reformation, when religious intolerance was rife.
