Footpath near Stoke Poges
SU9783 is quite well off for footpaths.
The unusual suffix Poges in the village name is derived from the family name Pugeis. Hubert le Pugeis is recorded as having land here in 1255. (Oxford dictionary of place names)

The former Bayer Group Conference Centre at Stoke Court looks like it has been closed for some time. This is by the entrance driveway. Even the estate agent's board has fallen over.
