Stoke Poges: Sefton Park School
The building was completed, according to the large stone carved table on the south wall, as the "Stoke Poges and Wexham Elementary Schools 1878". It is a Grade II Listed Building and the English Heritage website describes it thus:- "Red brick and stone with blue bands in gables and plain tile roofs. Main south front with boys entry to left, girls to right. Two main gables with tall pointed stone windows. Central section with 2 gables with pointed head 3-light mullion and transom windows and 3-light mullioned window each side. To right is pointed arched door with 3-light window over and a half-hipped bell gable above." Following a reorganization of school facilities in Stoke Poges the building was taken over by the Fulmer Education Trust and re-opened in 2005 as Sefton Park School, providing independent full-time education for pupils aged from eleven to eighteen, underpinned by a Christian ethos based on the Holy Bible. The School's website, with a New Zealand domain name, is here:- http://focusold.dmm.net.nz/seftonparkhome.html

Stoke Poges: St Andrew's Church
St Andrew's Church on Rogers Lane is unusual in the sense that it was originally built in the 1920s/1930s as a Methodist Chapel, only to fall into disuse, and to be bought, along with its surrounding plot of land, by the established Church of England in the 1950s. It is the dark red brick building in the foreground. The existing church was then extended rearwards into the plot, with the evidently newer building in buff brickwork being completed.
